Fewer proposed housing developments in Nassau

Nassau County has 47 proposals for multi-family housing developments, fewer than Suffolk County’s 107. Nassau County also has fewer under construction multi-family housing developments than Suffolk County.

A majority of the Nassau County proposals, 63% of them, are for rental developments. They average 152 units on 7.9 acres per proposal, but this will likely vary a great deal between proposals.

These proposals are also heavily concentrated in areas that already have dense existing rentals.
